No military strategist am I, but was kind of amazed by otherwise smart people believing that Iran would not strike back, and that the war was won.
Iran has 580,000 active-duty personnel, 200,000 trained reservists. They are ranked 16th globally for military power. Not insignificant, but not enough.
Most significantly, the West has permitted Iran to build up a terrorist proxy army found around the world. In that, they rank number one.
They'll use it.

What I wrote immediately after news broke about Trump’s move on Iran:
I'm no military strategist, but it seems to me that taking out these sites delays the Iranian nuclear weapons program. It doesn't stop it.
The only thing that stops it is regime change. And that means a conflict that expands after tonight, methinks.
We shall see.

The result in NYC, polls showing opposition to stopping Iran's nukes, the protests getting worse...as I said to my staff and Jewish friends this morning, all of it is consistent with what I've got in my book the Hidden Hand, my documentary The Campaign, and what we are doing at @AllFactsNoHate: our adversary is getting its shit together, and we can no longer underestimate them.

It's possible to advocate for Palestinian citizens and not be a Jew-and-democracy-hating lunatic.
It's impossible to advocate for the Iranian regime and not be those things, however.

The chances of terror attacks on Western targets must be close to 100%, now.

Hamas is making up stories about Israel killing Palestinians every day and most of the media faithfully report them as true.
The main effect of these stories is ever increasing rage in the “globalize the intifada” crowd. This is likely to continue making life more difficult for Canadian Jews and anyone else who supports Israel.
As a journalist, it is annoying to me that outlets like the CBC and others are using injury/death statistics from Hamas in Gaza with zero verification, with no disclaimer that they are not verifying these numbers. As for Curtis Sliwa, I listened to him a bit on WABC 770 in the late oghts (2008ish) and he then was a tamer version of Mark Levin – sort of. Interesting election scene in NYC.
