Every hockey team needs an enforcer. That's Ford. It also needs cool, calm, skilled players who can make the whole team play with gra e and power. A Belliveau, pre-Trumpist Gretzky or Crosby. That will hopefully be Carney. Poilievre? I cannot imagine him ever playing hockey. That says a lot.

he's a chess guy maybe? or

I have watched many guys with Poilievre personality play exceptional hockey...they are the thinkers of the game, not enforcers, not fast skater , but plan their attack. case in point who I love is on the desk now for Hockey night in Canada ..and discussed in depth plays he thinks should happen, and that would be Kevin Bieksa who played for Canucks and Ducks. His resume is impressive...just my opinion. never underestimate the quiet guy!!! tks cheers

Great article, and even more interesting with the references to hockey..Canada's game btw..it was so great to listen to Mr. Chretien speak, he's still forceful and stands for us in Canada. A man who we can look up to and at 91 we still can, those were the great men that have helped to shape Canada.

I'm not sure about Carney...he's book smart and his end game is the carbon tax, on a country that has the least amount of carbon going. maybe he trying to influence China, the worst..

But, his wife is his source of information. so will he go against her? I think not. they are a team...she has written many books on the subject and he respects her.

Conservatives remind me of tough teams like Alex Ovechkin's Washington Caps...or Boston Bruins, that have many Canadian players, who will drop the gloves if necessary when hit hard into the boards.

Pierre, we have only seen him in action against Trudeau in HOC...he might just show us what he can do....

I see a back room orchestrated maneuvering sleight of hand. With only 130k votes it’s Carney. I hope his first order of business is to call an election. Because this is garbage.

Bill Maher endorsed Chrystia Freeland when he had her as his guest on Real Time two Fridays ago. I guess it didn’t help as much as she had hoped, flying to LA and back.
